A boudoir photo session is a powerful way to celebrate yourself, whether for personal empowerment or as a special gift. If you’re considering this experience but are unsure if it’s right for you, asking the right questions can help you make an informed decision. What Experience Do You Have with Boudoir Photography? Understanding your photographer’s experience with boudoir sessions is crucial. Ask about their background and how they ensure comfort and professionalism during these intimate sessions. I have over 5 years of experience in photography doing professional intimate sessions.
How Do You Address Client Comfort and Privacy? Boudoir photography involves a high level of personal comfort. I promise your set will be private with only necessary personnel. Your comfort in my top priority, if you don’t feel comfortable, it will show in the final images. To make sure we get the best images I will work with you to pose you in poses that make you look amazing and only poses you feel comfortable doing. We are all different and while some are very adventurous, others may not be. I get it. If you don’t like a pose or an outfit, tell me and we will make adjustments!
What is Included in the Session Fee? Clarify what the session fee covers. Does it include styling, makeup, prints, or digital files? Knowing this upfront will help you manage your expectations and budget. At T Martinez Photography the session fee includes the consumables used in the session, assistants time, location costs and if elected the hair/make-up artist costs. We Do offer deliverable packages separate form the session fee. We will cover them during a consultation call!
Can You Provide Styling and Wardrobe Advice? Since boudoir sessions often involve personal style, ask if the photographer offers styling advice or wardrobe consultations. What is Your Policy on Image Privacy and Sharing? Ensure you understand the photographer’s policy on image privacy. Ask how your images will be handled, stored, and shared, and whether they will require a written model release for any use beyond your personal viewing. If you book with us, you can relax knowing only you and anyone you show will see your private images. I only display images to others with a written model release.
How Will You Ensure My Poses and Shots Are Comfortable for Me? Discuss how the photographer plans to guide you through poses. It’s important to know that the poses will be designed to highlight your best features while ensuring you’re at ease.with our consultation call we will discuss why you want to have a boudoir session, what you want to highlight and hide in the images. I will then plan your session poses. On set I will demonstrate all the poses for you!
