Boudoir FAQ

When It comes to a boudoir session, You might have a lot of questions. I hope I can answer most of them with the following.

Where will my studio session take place?

Your studio session will take place is the city of Azusa CA or if you choose, in Downtown Los Angeles. If you are interested in booking a session elsewhere please inquire as travel opportunities are accepted.

What do I need to bring for wardrobe?

There are so many options to wear during a boudoir session, if you plan to wear anything at all. The studio will provide draping fabrics and sheer fabrics to stylize nude sets. Select outfits that make you feel confident and beautiful. Think about what flatters your body shape and consider a variety of pieces like lace robes, lingerie, athletic wear or even a favorite oversized sweater. Don’t forget to bring a several backup options to the session to give yourself variety. Don’t forget heels! Try on your outfits the night before to make sure they fit correctly. If you are still unsure, sent an email we are more then happy to help you out! Just remember, If you don’t love the outfit, you wont love the photos of you in the outfit.

Where can I purchase wardrobe?

So many options when it comes to shopping for outfits for your intimate boudoir session. I always suggest a physical store like Victoria Secrets over an online retailer. Going to a retail location gives you the peace of mind knowing that the wardrobe does fit correctly. Also, you can always ask the staff to help you if you need help with sizing and getting measured!

How do I book a studio experience?

To request a studio session experience, please complete the form at the bottom of this page or click here. Inquiries will be considered on a case by case according the artists availability and discretion.

Do I need to know how to pose?

The short answer, No. Posing is my Job. I will guide you and help you look your best. I have spent years working with others like yourself and have learned to coach and guide in an easy to understand way to make you feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera.

How long will my studio experience last?

For our Bel-Air Collection, you could expect to be in the studio between 3-4 hours. This collection is slow pace and comfortable, allowing plenty of time for get-to-know-you conversation, set changes, and snack breaks as needed. We recommend clients block out the day for this experience to not feel rushed or anxious.

The Beverly Hills Collection will have you in the studio for 1.5-2.5 hours.

The Pasadena Collection is TM’s bite-sized offering, and clients can expect to be in the studio for just over 1 hour.

Do you offer hair and makeup services?

It is encouraged to arrive to your session as your most familiar self, having your skin, hair, body hair and makeup the way you prefer to be photographed. In efforts to ensure that our clients feel most like themselves and support the message of not needing a makeover transformation in order to be photo worthy. We do not provide hair and makeup services.

Will you retouch my _______?

Based on ethical and artistic preferences, TM’s standard retouching process, only temporary blemishes such as acne, scrapes, and bruises will be removed. The image enhancement process involves contrast, exposure, cropping and background clean-up. Should you have any specific requests or questions, these conversations are always welcomed and encouraged.

How far in advance should I book my appointment?

We need at least a 5 day notice before your session to work with you and plan your session. The preplanning is so important to make sure we make your session an unforgettable experience. Allow 2 weeks to see the edited images and another 2-4 weeks for the album and final products to be created.

Can I bring a friend to my studio experience?

Yes, you can absolutely bring 1 friend along with you to the photo session experience. We will ask that friend to not interfere with the session process, but are always welcome to be encouraging from the sidelines and be a great support in celebrating you.

We do ask that romantic partners not be present for studio sessions, as clients can subconsciously alter their expressions/body language/personalities according to what pleases their partner rather then themselves.
